Partnering with you to develop and bring new talent to the workplace
University of Indianapolis Career Services wants to help you recruit college talent for part-time, temporary, or full-time entry-level and career-track positions in your organization.
JHC is our means of keeping track of your organization and the employment and other opportunities you offer. It also allows us to better serve our students, prospective graduates and alumni who ask us for assistance in their search for a job, internship or career position. While JHC isn't the only way you can communicate your openings to us–we still accept e-mails, faxes, and phone calls–it really is the best way. We are more than happy to receive your phone call and talk over your staffing needs with you. We can also walk you through our JHC system if you are new to or unsure of it. Click here for JobHoundConnect.
Let us introduce you to upper-level students eager for career-related experience. We will prescreen qualified candidates for you, refer resumes, coordinate interview appointments at your site or ours, and follow up with you to ensure students are meeting your expectations. Interns may solve your short-term staffing needs or serve as a long-term, entry-level recruiting strategy.
With the help of JobHoundConnect, we will send resumes of candidates with an interest in the kind of opportunities your organization has available and whose qualifications meet your requirements. Most are baccalaureate degree candidates and graduates, though we also have MBA, health sciences, and other advanced degree candidates, plus experienced alumni on file. Once fully approved on the JHC system, you will have convenience of reviewing resumes on your own as well.
We would be delighted to arrange a full- or half-day of interviews with prospective graduates or interns in our career center offices. If it is part-time or summer employees you are looking for, we can provide an opportunity for you to advertise your openings in person, usually around the lunch hours in our busy Schwitzer Student Center. Campus recruiting is not always a practical solution for some organizations; we are eager to help you find what works best for your company.
Every year Career Services sponsors and coordinates programs designed to bring our students into contact with a variety of professionals and organizations. Examples are our Student Employment & Internship Fair, employer panel presentations, and partnership breakfasts and luncheons. We also invite employer representatives and others to assist us in preparing students for job interviews. Our office also supports the efforts of other units on campus in the development of UIndy students for the workplace; we can hook you up. These are all great ways to promote your company, gain name recognition with students, and connect with potential employees.
