Besides JobHoundConnect for UIndy students and alumni, we encourage you to acquaint yourself with the other resources listed below and under the Career/Employment Sites section

Prospective Grads

  • Pick up a complimentary copy of Job Choices, Black Collegian, AAEE Job Search Handbook for Educators and other publications offering A to Z advice on resume and cover letter writing, prospecting for employers, interviewing, and numerous other topics.
  • Consult the many job search references and guides available in the Career Services Office library and view a video on networking and tapping into the proverbial hidden job market.
  • Enroll in BADM 350: Career & Employment Strategies (open to any sophomore, junior or senior student).
  • Schedule an appointment for a practice employment interview with an office staff member or guest interviewer.
  • Sign up for campus recruiter information sessions and interviews and participate in collegiate and other job fairs (see Events/Activities section for dates and times).
  • Network with UIndy alumni in your field/s of interest. Visit Alumni Central.

Students in Search of an Internship

  • Pick up an introductory packet in Career Services.
  • Attend an office orientation session (see Events/Activities section for dates and times).
  • Visit Indianaintern.net, a premiere site for internships in Indiana.
  • Look through the many internship reference materials in our office library that list great opportunities throughout the country. Think big!
  • Sign up for campus recruiter sessions and interviews and participate in collegiate and other job fairs (see Events/Activities section for dates and times).

Students in Search of a Part-Time, Vacation, or Summer Job

  • Watch the Events/Activities calendar for days when employers are on campus for job fairs and lunchtime recruiting visits.
  • Check out the student employment section of the Career Services library.
  • Meet with a Career Services staff member to brainstorm possibilities that address your interests and circumstances.
